Sound Theological Accredited Degrees

Our instructors are selected for their educational expertise, sound biblical theology, concern for students, and years of proven ministry.

Students participate in live instruction by a faculty that is selected for their educational expertise, sound biblical theology, concern for students, and years of proven ministry experience.  We offer two Bachelor of Arts degrees that can be earned in 3 years. Classes meet only 1-2 days a week and are divided into 11-week trimesters. We also offer 3 Master of Arts degrees that can be earned in 2-3 years.

Practical Ministry

Challenging Hands-on Weekly Ministry

Each student has the opportunity to work with SUM faculty, local pastors and ministries through practicums, annual Evangelism Conference and Outreach, internships, special events, and evangelism/mission trips.

Practicums

All full-time students must complete a minimum of 8 hours per week of supervised ministry practicums. This is typically divided into 2 four-hour practicums. Part-time students are required to complete at least 4 hours per week of student ministry practicums.

Mentors come alongside to encourage each student in many areas of life including, academics, relationships, spiritual and personal development, and leadership.

Personal Mentoring

God’s Word instructs believers to follow the example, “and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us” (Phil. 3.17). As part of the Servant of All Program, SUM provides each student with a mentor that models positive values and spiritual principles.

Affordable Education

Cost-effective Tuition and Financial Aid

We offer quality theological education at low cost.  Our goal is for students to graduate with little to no debt, allowing for immediate ministry work upon graduation. The full-time student earns 14 credit hours per trimester, and any credits earned over 10 hours are FREE!  Students are eligible to apply for Federal Student Aid and Veterans Benefits. 95% of our students receive some type of financial aid.

SUM Nature Coast


SUM Nature Coast is a cohort of SUM Bible College and Theological Seminary.  We are located at Grace World Outreach Church in Brooksville, Florida. SUM is a regionally accredited Bible College whose purpose is to raise up ministry leaders through the Jesus Model of Leadership.  We equip men and women of God to transform their communities, cities, and the nations of the world by offering an affordable theological education, combining academic instruction with practical hands-on ministry and personal mentorship.  Our mission empowers these leaders to be instruments of change bringing revival to the church.

Educational Objectives


Graduates of SUM should be able to perform at a collegiate level in the following areas:

  1. Articulate their development as Christian individuals.
  2. Communicate the composite message of the Christian faith.
  3. Individually demonstrate their Christianity in the entirety of their well-being.
  4. Display scholarly habits.
  5. Come to an understanding of who they are as individuals.

Professional Objectives


A student who graduates from SUM’s educational program degree in Biblical Studies should be able to:

  1. Effectively pray, evangelize, and communicate to an urban culture.
  2. Use biblical interpretation to derive the accurate meaning of the biblical text.
  3. Develop quality sermon materials and effectively preach and teach the Gospel.
  4. Qualify for ministerial credentials from a recognized church body and faith community.
  5. Possess a working strategy for successful church planting.
